Terms of use
These terms apply when you use windowsmississauga.com or ask Windows Mississauga to pass a job to a pro, and sending a request means you agree to them. This draft is being reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

What the service is and isn't
Windows Mississauga refers window, door, screen and glass jobs in Mississauga and nearby Oakville to independent professionals, free of charge. You describe a job; we send it to one who handles that type of work in your area. Pros may pay Windows Mississauga a referral fee, and that fee does not make us a party to your agreement with them.
Windows Mississauga is not a contractor and has no one who measures, prices or fits glass. No one from Windows Mississauga visits your home, suite or business, and we do not supervise the pros or inspect their work.
Your contract is with the independent professional
- The pro sets the price, scope, materials and schedule in their quote.
- The contract, if you sign one, is yours and the pro's. We can't change, enforce or cancel it.
- Who is responsible for the work and any warranty? The pro, together with the maker of any product they supply. We give no warranty on workmanship, glass, hardware or windows. Ask what the warranty covers and keep the paperwork.
- Insurance, site safety, clean-up and any building permit the work needs are the pro's responsibility, unless you agree otherwise in writing.
- In a condo, get the corporation's approval before work starts, and agree in writing with the management office and the pro on who is asking for it. A tenant needs the landlord's permission first.
Get every quote in writing and read it before you sign. Under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002, a contract signed at home generally carries a cooling-off period during which you can cancel without a reason, and a final bill generally cannot go far above a written estimate unless you agree. Ontario's guidance on home service contracts explains these rights.
Pros set their own schedules, so we can't promise when, or whether, one will quote. If a request stalls, tell us through the contact page and we will chase it.
Content accuracy, rebates and permit information
What this site says about foggy glass, cracked panes, sliders and screens is general. It is not advice about your property; the pro who inspects the job decides what it needs.
Is the permit and heritage information on this site final? No. It is a plain summary, and the official source decides. Our permit and heritage notes cover the City of Mississauga only: its building permit rules and the Old Port Credit Village and Meadowvale Village heritage conservation districts. Oakville sets its own rules, condo declarations differ between buildings, and rebate programs change or close. Where we describe a rule or program, we link to the official page; confirm it there, with the City or with your management office, before you rely on it. The FAQ points to fuller explanations.
Using the site
Send requests only for a property you own, manage or have the owner's permission to arrange work on, and make the details accurate. Leave out anything unlawful, and other people's private details. Requests that misuse the service may be refused. How we treat what you send is set out in our privacy policy.
Liability, governing law (Ontario) and changes
To the extent the law permits, Windows Mississauga is not liable for a pro's workmanship, products, prices, timing or conduct, or for loss flowing from your agreement with a pro. We try to keep the site accurate and available, but can't promise it will always be either. These terms do not remove any consumer right under Ontario law that cannot legally be given up.
Ontario law, and the federal law of Canada as it applies in Ontario, governs these terms. When we change them, the dated version on this page replaces the earlier one. Questions go through the contact page, and how it works walks through a referral from request to written quote.
